FUJINON MKX50-135mmT2.9 is a lightweight cine-style telephoto zoom lens that features a mechanical design with three independent lens control rings: focus, iris, and zoom. Each ring incorporates a cine-style gear with a 0.8 MOD for interfacing with standard cine -style lens accessories. The focus ring features approximately 200 of rotation, which provides room or precise focus pulls, and the iris is clickless, enabling smooth iris pulls. The lens also incorporates a macro mode for close focusing capabilities. The lens is color matched to other FUJINON lenses such as the HK, ZK, and XK series, which enables smooth intercutting between lenses. At only 2.16lb (73.7g), this is among one of the lightest cinema zooms available that holds both focus and aperture throughout the focal length range. Flange focal distance adjustments can also be made on the lens, which eliminates the need for shims.

This high-performance optical cine lens minimizes focus and optical axis shift while zooming to help create smooth transitions and requires no shims to adjust flange focal distance. It also has the same weight, size, and ring positions as other MK lenses. This makes switching lenses on set easier and more efficient because accessories do not need to be readjusted between swaps.

This lens has an image circle that covers the Super 35 Format and offers a versatile range of focal lengths, making it great for a broad variety of subjects and scenes. Paired with the focus ring's 200 of rotation, smooth and gradual focus pulls are a possiblity at any focal length.

Offering a T2.9 aperture across the entire zoom range, which is great for low-light scenes, the lens's cinema-style 0.8 pitch aperture ring also gives cinematographers the utmost control in creating images creatively. Bokeh and depth of field can be dialed in to within a fraction of a T-stop to meet the needs of specific creative visions.

This lens has a close focusing distance of 3.3in (0.85m) at its widest focal length, adding another way for cinematographers to be creative with their framing and composition.
